Conference on “Great Britain, the 4th largest trading partner of the Czech Republic”

On 10 October 2017, London Market held an International Export Conference at the International Engineering Fair in Brno entitled “Great Britain, the 4th largest trading partner of the Czech Republic”.

The conference was attended by leading representatives from Czech and British industry, banking and government representatives. The conference was organised in cooperation with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department of Trade.

The aim of the conference was to showcase successful examples of business cooperation between Czech and British companies as the UK becomes an increasingly important export destination for Czech goods and services (the 4th largest export market with an export value of almost CZK 250 billion) and to demonstrate the determination of both countries to make the best of Brexit for business and trade.

The Brno Fair is the largest international engineering fair in Central and Eastern Europe, which has been held since 1960. At last year’s edition, there were approximately 1,500 exhibitors from nearly 60 countries, including government agencies, and more than 80,000 visitors.
